Privacy
Short version: Nimbo has no account and no analytics. What it shows you is worked out on your Mac and stays there. A few features need the internet, and they are listed below.
Who we are
Nimbo is made and sold by Silent Alchemy. You can reach us atsupport@silentalchemy.co.
The app
What stays on your Mac
- Music: what's playing is read from the music app on your Mac.
- System stats: CPU, GPU, memory, disk, network and battery are read locally, only while you look.
- Calendar: if you allow it, your meetings are read from the Calendar on your Mac. They are not sent anywhere.
- File shelf: files you drop on the notch stay where they are on your disk.
- Clipboard history: kept in memory only, never written to disk, and cleared when Nimbo quits. Copies from password managers are skipped.
- AI agents and scripts: status updates from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Terminal and your scripts travel between programs on your Mac only.
- Settings: stored on your Mac.
What goes over the internet
Nimbo talks to these services, and only these:
- Weather, from Open-Meteo. To get the forecast, Nimbo sends the location you want the weather for. Nothing else about you is sent.
- Lyrics, from LRCLIB. To find the words, Nimbo sends the title and artist of the song that's playing.
- Licence checks, with Lemon Squeezy (once added). To check your licence, Nimbo sends your licence key and a name for your Mac so the key can be tied to one Mac.
Like any website, these services can see your IP address when Nimbo connects to them. Their own privacy policies apply to what they do with it.
There is no account, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising in Nimbo.
Buying Nimbo
Checkout is run by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller of record. They handle your payment details, billing address and tax, under their privacy policy. We never see your card number. We do get your name, email address, country and order details, so we can send your licence, help you and give refunds.
When you buy, we also note which site or link sent you to this page, if any (for example "reddit.com"). It's saved with your order so we know where buyers find Nimbo. Nothing is stored in your browser.
If you write to us, we keep your message and reply so we can help you. We don't add you to a mailing list.
This website
This website uses no cookies. It counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records the page, the site that linked here, and your country and browser type, without cookies and without following you to other sites.
The only outside scripts are Cloudflare's visit counter and Lemon Squeezy's checkout, which opens when you click Buy. It's hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and to keep the site running.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Emailsupport@silentalchemy.co. Some order records have to be kept for tax reasons.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date.
